She was driving home and was struck by the beauty of Grandmother Moon rising over the mountains in the Mohave Desert, and especially by the light of the setting sun on the mountains on the right. She immediately pulled over to capture the beauty of this moment. "Moon Over the Mohave" is printed in small type on the bottom right of the image.
